Spicy Garlic Aioli

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayo
  • 3 cloves garlic crushed and minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Start by mincing 3 garlic cloves.
  • Juice lemon (½ lemon usually yields 1 tablespoon of lemon juice)
  • Put all of the ingredients into a small mixing bowl.
  • Stir until well blended. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes or more for the flavors to marry.

Notes

*Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days
*The longer this aioli chills in the fridge the more flavorful it will become
*if you want a basic garlic aioli sauce, don't use the cayenne pepper
