It doesn’t get any better than this. Candied bacon with the perfect combination of sweet caramelized brown sugar, salt and spice. This candied bacon recipe is perfect for a fun breakfast, brunch, potluck or appetizer.
While the oven heats, mix the brown sugar, smoked paprika and cayenne pepper together in a small bowl and then set aside
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil and place bacon strips onto the sheet pan
Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the bacon.
Using your hands, press the brown sugar into the bacon.
Once the oven has reached 375 F, place the bacon into oven and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crisp and brown.
Remove the bacon from the oven and transfer the strips of bacon onto a cooling rack.
Let cool for 1-2 minutes and then enjoy!
Notes
**Ovens vary. I suggest checking for doneness after the first 15 minutes of baking and then every 2 minutes after that to make sure the bacon isn’t burning.**Be sure to let the bacon cool for 1-2 minutes as it will also continue to crisp up during that time.**Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.**Reheat leftovers in microwave.
