Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 8 spears dill pickles
  • 8 slices bacon
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

Instructions

Air Fryer Instructions:

  • Make the sauce: To a small bowl, mix together the ranch dressing and Cajun seasoning. Cover and store in refrigerator while you finish making the bacon wrapped pickles.
  • Make the Bacon Wrapped Pickles: Preheat air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit and set the timer for 12 minutes.
  • Pat the pickle spears dry with a paper towel on all sides.
  • Wrap each pickle spear in a slice of bacon.
  • Place the pickles in the air fryer, in a single layer, and cook for 12 minutes until the bacon is crispy. Check on them halfway through and rotate around for even cooking if needed.
  • Once done, remove the pickles from the air fryer and onto a paper towel lined plate. Let cool, then enjoy with Cajun ranch dipping sauce (or a low carb dipping sauce if you prefer).

Oven Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Pat the pickle spears dry on all sides with a paper towel.
  • Wrap each pickle spear with a slice of bacon.
  • Add pickles to a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
  • Remove from the oven. Let cool and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Storage And Reheating Instructions:
  • I recommend eating these fresh. You will not get the same crispiness with leftovers. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator in an air tight container for 2 days.
  • To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 1-3 minutes until crispy.
Pro Tips:
  • I recommend using regular cut, thin or center cut bacon for the best results. Thick cut takes too long to cook and could make the pickles soggy.
  • Place each pickle spear into the air fryer in a single layer. Do not overlap or overcrowd the air fryer.
  • Check on the pickles halfway through the cooking process and rotate the pickles if needed for even cooking.
  • Once cooked, you can cut the pickles in half to make them bite sized. Perfect for parties!
  • The air fryer I used was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers are different, you will need to adjust the cook time based on the air fryer you are using.
