Easy Air Fryer Baby Carrots

This air fryer baby carrots recipe is sweet, easy, and delicious! Baby carrots are tossed in butter and brown sugar, then roasted in the air fryer until perfectly glazed. This is a super easy carrot side dish for any time!

  • Air Fryer


  • 1 pound baby carrots
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon parsley garnish optional


Air Fryer Instructions:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and set the timer for 10 minutes.
  • To a medium bowl, add the baby carrots, melted butter, olive oil, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir until the carrots are well coated.
  • Add baby carrots to the air fryer in a single layer and cook for 10 minutes or until carrots are tender. Check on them and shake the air fryer basket halfway through.
  • Remove carrots from the air fryer. Let cool, and then enjoy!

Oven Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • While the oven heats up, add the carrots to a bowl, along with the brown sugar, melted butter, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until the carrots are well coated.
  • Add the carrots to a parchment paper lined baking sheet and roast for 15 to 20 minutes until carrots are soft and caramelized.
  • Remove carrots from the oven. Let cool, then enjoy!

Make Ahead Method

  • Prepare carrots as directed in recipe.
  • Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the microwave or in the air fryer at 365 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 to 2 minutes until warm.



Storage And Reheating Instructions:
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 1-3 minutes until crispy.
Pro Tips:
  • The air fryer I used was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers are different, you will need to adjust the cook time based on the air fryer you are using.
  • These carrots are soft. If you prefer your carrots firmer, you will need to cook them for less time. Always check for doneness halfway through.
  • These carrots are sweet. Less sugar can be used if you prefer to make them less sweet.
  • Dry baby carrots off with a paper owl before coating with the butter/oil mixture. This will help them get a better roast in the air fryer.
