Recipe Variations And Substitutions:
- Maple syrup or honey can be used as a substitution for brown sugar.
- I used baby carrots for the convenience, but you can use rainbow carrots or regular sized carrots cut into smaller pieces.
- The amount of brown sugar in this recipe can be reduced if you prefer to make them less sweet.
- If you would like to switch things up and make these carrots more savory, you can try these seasonings: dill, garlic powder, ranch seasoning, lemon juice, cumin, balsamic vinegar.

Storage And Reheating Instructions:
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 1-3 minutes until crispy.
Pro Tips:
- The air fryer I used was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers are different, you will need to adjust the cook time based on the air fryer you are using.
- These carrots are soft. If you prefer your carrots firmer, you will need to cook them for less time. Always check for doneness halfway through.
- These carrots are sweet. Less sugar can be used if you prefer to make them less sweet.
- Dry baby carrots off with a paper owl before coating with the butter/oil mixture. This will help them get a better roast in the air fryer.

We made these, pro tips very helpful. What we enjoyed most is the fact they’re great served hot or chilled out of the fridge. Perfect middle-of-the-road side dish that conquers post-main-entree-need for something sweet but no room in belly for dessert. Guiltless snack for 3a hunger pangs instead of ice cream pint. Hi. I made these in my Ninja Air Fryer using the Air Fry setting. I wasn't sure which setting would be best, as my model has Air Roast also. I may use that setting next time to see how they turn out. We did like them as they were. Tender and sweet. I like being able to use the air fryer for this vegetable side dish, as it leaves my oven ready to use for my main dish. Bottom line: Yes, I do recommend this recipe. Will make again.
