And if you like to dip your pizza in sauces, be sure to make my Spicy Garlic Aioli and Sriracha Aioli to go along with it!

Why You Will Love This Recipe:

Q&A:
Yes, you can freeze your tortilla pizza. Tortilla pizzas make excellent freezer meals. You can make a big batch and freeze them for later. Start by assembling your pizzas, then stack the pizzas with parchment paper or wax paper in between them. Store in a zip lock bag and place in freezer. Cook frozen pizzas in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 3-5 minutes or until cheese is brown and bubbly.
The best way to get it crispy would be to brush cooking oil on the outer edges of the tortilla prior to cooking it. Also, avoid using too many toppings or extremely wet toppings.
Absolutely! Tortillas make great pizza bases. They make for a good thin and crispy pizza. Plus tortillas are quicker than pizza dough so they make an excellent choice for making a quick pizza for weeknight meals.
If your tortilla pizza is soggy, chances are likely that you used too much sauce and toppings. Because tortillas are thin you will need to go light on the toppings.
Equipment Needed:
- Air Fryer (model used in this recipe: Instant Vortex Plus 6qt)
- Large Spatula
- Pizza Cutter
Ingredients:
- Olive Oil - This will be used to make the outer edges of the tortilla crispy and yummy. You can also use avocado oil or any cooking oil.
- Flour Tortilla - Must be a flour tortilla. I did not test this using a corn tortilla.
- Pizza Sauce - Use your favorite store bought brand. Store bought marinara sauce would work too.
- Pepperoni - Use your favorite store bought brand. Mini or diced pepperoni would work too. You can also omit the pepperoni if you want a cheese pizza.
- Shredded Mozzarella - Store bought shredded mozzarella or you can grate your own. Shredded provolone or shredded Mexican cheese blend would work as well.
- Italian Seasoning - This adds extra flavor to the pizza. If you don’t have Italian seasoning on hand, you can use dried oregano.
Instructions:
1. Place the flour tortilla into the air fryer basket and brush the outer edges with olive oil.
2. Spread pizza sauce onto the tortilla one inch from the edge and then top with pepperoni, then mozzarella cheese, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
3. Cook in air fryer at 400 degrees for 3 minutes or until pizza is brown and bubbly. Be sure to check it after 1 minute to ensure the pizza does not overcook.
4. Remove pizza from air fryer, let cool, and slice into triangles.
5. Serve and enjoy!
Pro Tips:
- Put the cheese on last. It is important that you put the cheese on top of the pepperoni. If you put the pepperoni on top they will fly off of the pizza because of the air circulation inside of the air fryer. This happened to me when testing this recipe so be sure to place the pepperoni under the cheese.
- Assemble your pizza in the air fryer. I found this to be easier than assembling on a cutting board and transferring into the air fryer.
- Do not set it and forget it. Check on your pizza after one minute to check for doneness and to ensure that it's not overcooking. Every air fryer is different, so it is important that you check on your pizza after 1 minute of cook time.
- Go light on the toppings. Do not use more than 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce and don't overload your pizza with toppings to avoid making the tortilla soggy.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- To reheat leftovers, cook in the air fryer for one minute at 400 degrees or until cheese has melted.

I stumbled upon this recipe in search of a pizza without dough. I had the few ingredients already on hand and added some spinach on top for some greens. The kids DEVOURED these pizzas, but the best part was how fast they were prepared! I was serving them like hotcakes coming out of the fryer! Thank you for this delicious, nutritious, and simple recipe!

I notice that the carbohydrate count is 18 grams. Is that for the whole tortilla pizza, or 1 slice? I'm looking forward to making this.
Ivory
Hello Connie!
I am looking into it right now. Please note that I use a program that calculates the carbs based off of the brand of ingredients I use and it's just an estimate. You will need to calculate the carb count based on the brand, amount, and size of ingredients you use.

This looks really yummy! I'm trying this later😁I see that the recipe says to put pepperoni under the cheese, but I find that when I use shredded cheese in an air fryer that it flys everywhere, too. How do you keep yours from doing that??
Ivory
I press the cheese down into the sauce and this keeps the cheese in place.
Ms. Ruby
Ivory, I thought you put the cheese on top of the pepperoni. So, did you add more sauce on the pepperoni to hold down the cheese?
Ivory
Yes, I put sauce, pepperoni, then cheese on top. I pressed the cheese down to make sure it stayed on while cooking.

I just made these for dinner tonight and I may make them for dinner again tomorrow. Delicious! This is going to save me so much money on frozen pizzas!
Deborah
I made these with low carb tortillas and used shredded, and a little fresh, mozzarella. It was really good. I felt like I was cheating!
Diamond
I just finished making these and they're extremely delicious! I did put a little olive oil on the entire tortilla then placed toppings on it and I felt that this made the entire pizza a little more crispy.
Thank you for sharing this quick and easy recipe!
