Recipe Variations And Substitutions:
- Try adding other meats like cooked bacon or sausage crumbles.
- I used shredded mozzarella, but you can also use sliced mozzarella cheese.
- Mayo can be used instead of butter.
- No ham? No worries, just add some extra pepperoni.

Storage And Reheating Instructions:
- This sandwich is best when eaten fresh. If you do have leftovers, store them in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 2-3 minutes until warm.
Pro Tips:
- The air fryer I used was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers are different, you will need to adjust the cook time based on the air fryer you are using.
- You may need to use toothpicks to hold the sandwich down if using really thin bread.
- Use a good quality bread for best results. I used country style sliced bread. I love it because it's thick and holds up well in the air fryer.
- Use a large pancake spatula to make it easier to place the sandwich into the air fryer basket.
- Be sure to check on your sandwich halfway through the cooking process. It’s cooks really fast!

I only added pepperoni but substituted yellow American cheese, mild cheddar & Colby Jack for the mozzarella. Yummy!
