Nope, for this recipe you can cook the green beans from frozen.

Can you put frozen vegetables in the air fryer?

Definitely. Frozen vegetables can be cooked in the air fryer without the need to thaw them.

Air Fryer Frozen Green Beans recipe labeled ingredients in various dishes on a white marble surface: frozen green beans, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, red pepper flakes.
  • Frozen Green Beans - Trader Joeโ€™s, Birds Eye, or whatever brand you choose would work. I get a big bag of frozen green beans from Costco.
  • Olive Oil - I used olive oil, but you can use whatever cooking oil youโ€™d regularly use.
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Red Pepper Flakes - I only used a pinch to add extra flavor. You can add more if you would like your green beans spicy or omit altogether.

Air Fryer Instructions:

1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

4. Remove green beans from air fryer and enjoy!

Recipe Variations And Substitutions:

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 1-3 minutes until warm.

Quick, easy, and flavorful. I used 1/4 tsp of the seasonings because I donโ€™t have a 1/3 tsp measuring spoon.

Yummy yummy. Love this recipe. I used Trader Joe's green beans and much herbs and a bit of feta at end. I also made a quick lemony hummus dressing for these. Just to try out variations. I also stopped cooking half way through to try these like steamed beans. NO watery flavor. Absolutely a new go to recipe.
