Equipment Needed:
Air Fryer
Ingredients:
- Ham - I used Black Forrest ham. Deli ham works great too.
- Swiss Cheese - You can use whatever cheese you want like American cheese, cheddar, provolone, or pepper-jack cheese.
- Flour Tortillas
- Butter
- Dijon mustard
Air Fryer Instructions:
1. Warm the tortillas: Start by placing the tortillas on a microwave safe plate, then place a damp paper towel over them. Microwave the tortillas for 20-30 seconds until warm. This will make the tortillas easier to fold without them cracking.
2. Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit and set the timer for 5 minutes.
3. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise and Dijon mustard onto the tortillas.
4. Add 2 slices of ham, then a slice of Swiss cheese to each tortilla.
5. Roll each tortilla up like a burrito by folding the sides in and tightly rolling them.
6. Brush the top of each wrap with melted butter using a basting brush.
7. Place the wraps into the air fryer seam down and cook for 5 minutes until golden brown. Check on them halfway through.
8. Remove wraps from air fryer. Let them cool. Then cut them in half or diagonally and enjoy!
Oven Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Recipe Variations:
- Low carb and gluten free wraps can be used in this recipe.
- You can replace the melted butter with olive or avocado oil.
- Try adding sliced tomatoes, slices olives, or spinach leaves, it’s delicious!
Storage And Reheating Instructions:
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 1-2 minutes.
Make Ahead Method:
You can make these a day ahead by first assembling the wraps and wrapping each wrap tightly in plastic wrap. To cook, remove plastic wrap and cook in a preheated air fryer at 380 degrees for 5 to 6 minutes.
Pro Tips:
- Allow the wraps to cool down after they come out of the air fryer. They will be hot!
- The air fryer I used was my Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since every air fryer is different, you will need to adjust this recipe to your air fryer accordingly. For instance, you make need to cook these a minute longer or shorter depending on your air fryer and personal preference on how dark you want your tortillas.

Hot ham and cheese wraps were so good! I had to use up ham from Easter and this was a great way to do it. I also got an air fryer as a gift and need recipes.
Ivory
Yay! Glad to hear you enjoyed them.
Evie LINDEMANN
Would these be good eaten at room temp...like on a picnic?
Ivory
Hi Evie, for picnics, I make these and leave them cold without air frying them or adding the butter. They hold up great that way.
EL Strothman
Excellent! My husband and I loved them!
Could we make these up and freeze them and then bring them out to airfry?
Ivory
So glad you two enjoyed! Yes, these can be frozen and then air fried from frozen. You will just need to increase the cook time by about 3 minutes and reduce the temp to 365F just to be sure the inside and outside cook evenly.

Sometimes I just want simple. But not so simple that I would ever buy Hot Pockets! I feel like this is a better version of a Hot Pocket...maybe I'll call them Air Pockets!! Love them!!
