Q&A:

Can I use frozen shrimp?

This recipe was tested using thawed shrimp, so if your shrimp is frozen, be sure to thaw it first.

Do I need to devein shrimp?

To avoid a gritty texture or muddy taste, I recommend deveining the shrimp.

Can I cook shrimp with the tails on?

Yes, cooking shrimp with the tails on or off is okay and comes down to personal preference.

Equipment Needed:

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients (Full recipe located in recipe card below):

Air fryer shrimp recipe ingredients in various dishes on a white marble surface: raw jumbo shrimp, melted butter, smoked paprika, olive oil, onion powder, salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
  • Jumbo Shrimp - Raw, deveined, and peeled. Large shrimp stays juicy and cooks evenly in the air fryer.
  • Olive Oil - Helps the seasoning stick and keeps the shrimp tender.
  • Melted Butter - Adds an extra layer of flavor.
  • Salt and Pepper - Enhances all the flavors and binds everything together.
  • Onion Powder - Adds depth to balance the spices.
  • Garlic Powder - Brings a savory, bold flavor that pairs perfectly with shrimp.
  • Smoked Parika - Adds a subtle smoky flavor.
  • Italian Seasoning - Or use your favorite herb seasoning blend.
  • Red Pepper Flakes - For a little heat. You can add more if you want it spicier.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (or heat for 5 minutes if you don’t have a preheat option).
