Q&A:
I like to cut my baby potatoes in half because I like to season the middle of the potatoes, and it takes less time to cook. However, you can leave your baby potatoes whole if you prefer. Just add additional cook time.
You will know that the potatoes are done when they are fork tender on the inside and brown and crispy on the outside.

Recipe Variations And Substitutions:
- Olive oil - I used olive oil but you can use whatever cooking oil you prefer.
- Baby Potatoes - I used baby red potatoes, but this recipe works for any type of baby potatoes
- Garlic Powder - You can also use 1 teaspoon of garlic paste instead. I do not recommend using chopped garlic because it tends to burn in the air fryer.
- Customized your seasonings - There are many ways to you can enjoy these baby potatoes. I like to switch up the seasonings depending on what I am in the mood for and what I think my family would enjoy. You could keep things simple by using olive oil, salt, and pepper. Rosemary seasoning, olive oil, and salt tastes amazing as well. Other seasonings to try are ranch seasoning, parsley, and Cajun seasoning to make them spicy.
Storage And Reheating Instructions:
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
Pro Tips:
- The potatoes I used were 1 inch in size. Larger potatoes will need extra time to cook.
- I cut my potatoes in half, but you can leave them whole if desired. Add a couple minutes of cook time if cooking whole.
- Potatoes need to be placed into the air fryer in a single layer for best results. Cook in batches if needed.
- The air fryer I used was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers are different, you will need to adjust the cook time based on the air fryer you are using.

These are so good! I made these with steak bites and the whole family loved them, even the picky toddlers!

Just found your site and love it.
I've made something similar and they are so good.
You can also parboil the potatoes until almost done, then cut in half,
season and cook. Mine seem to get just a bit crispier doing this.

Thank you! So happy to hear you love the site! 🙂

I made these for dinner last night. I didn’t have any baby red potatoes but I did have the baby potatoes in a can. I rinsed them, cut them in half and patted them very dry. I did the 450° oven instructions in my multi use air fryer and they were fantastic.
