Q&A:
Thin pork chops are air fried at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 to 8 minutes.
Thin pork chops should be cooked at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
I recommend using a little bit of oil on the pork chops to help the seasoning stick and it adds a slight crispness to the pork chop, but its not required.
The secret to moist pork chops is to not overcook them. Cooking them for too long causes them to become dry.
Equipment Needed:
- Air Fryer
Ingredients:
- Olive Oil - I used olive oil, but you can use whatever cooking oil you’d regularly use.
- Thin Pork Chops - I used boneless pork chops that were ½ inch thick.
- Pork Chop Rub - I used my delicious homemade pork rub. It gives the pork chops a slight glaze and amazing flavor.
Air Fryer Instructions:
1. Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and set the timer for 8 minutes.
2. Pat pork chops dry with a paper towel on both sides.
3. Brush both sides of each pork chop with olive oil.
4. Sprinkle each side of the pork chops liberally with the pork chop rub and press the rub into the pork.
5. Add the pork chops to the air fryer and cook for 8 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Be sure to flip them halfway through.
6. Remove from air fryer and let it sit for 1 minute. Then enjoy!
From Frozen Instructions:
1. Frozen pork chops will need to be separated.
2. Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
3. Brush both sides of each pork chop with olive oil.
4. Season with pork rub or your favorite seasonings.
5. Add the pork chops to the air fryer and cook for 10 minutes until the internal temperature is 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Flip the chops halfway through.
6. Remove chops from air fryer and let them cool. Then enjoy with your favorite side dish.
Recipe Variations And Substitutions:
- Olive oil - I love using olive oil but you can use whichever oil you’d normally use in your air fryer.
- Bone in pork chops can be used as well, but you will need to increase the cook time slightly.
- Seasonings - I recommend using my homemade pork rub recipe but you can also try other seasonings like ranch, Italian, or Cajun.
Storage And Reheating Instructions:
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in a preheated air fryer at 365 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 to 2 minutes until warm.
Pro Tips:
- The air fryer I used was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers are different, you will need to adjust the cook time based on the air fryer you are using.
- The pork chops I used were ½ inch thick. Cooking time will need to be adjusted based on the thickness of your pork chop.
- Do not overcook the pork chop or it can become tough. Since these pork chops are so thin, they cook faster than bone in pork chops. Check on doneness halfway through the cooking process.
- The USDA recommends pork be cooked until it has an internal temperature of 145 Fahrenheit as measured by a meat thermometer with the addition of a three-minute rest time.
