Storage Instructions:
- Let the leftover steak cool completely and then store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- For longer storage, wrap tightly in foil or plastic wrap, then place in a freezer-safe bag or container. Freeze for up to 2 months.
How To Reheat Leftover Ribeye Steak:
Air Fryer (My Favorite Method):
- Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Place steak in the basket and cook for 3โ5 minutes, depending on thickness.
Stovetop:
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat with a little oil or butter.
- Add steak and cover with a lid. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes per side until heated through.
Microwave:
- Place steak on a microwave-safe plate with a damp paper towel over the top.
- Microwave for 30 seconds at a time until warmed throughout.
๐ Tip: Add a splash of beef broth or melted butter before reheating in the microwave to help keep the steak tender and flavorful.
Pro Tips:
- Bring to Room Temperature: Let the steaks sit out for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook more evenly from edge to center.
- Rest Before Cutting: After cooking, let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, giving you the juiciest steak possible.
- Check for Doneness: Use a food thermometer to ensure your steak reaches the perfect internal temperature for your preferred doneness.
- Flip for Even Cooking: Be sure to flip the steak halfway through air frying to get that perfect sear on both sides.
- Cooking for a Crowd? This recipe can easily be scaled up. Just make sure to place steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If needed, cook in batches so each steak gets evenly cooked and crispy on the outside.
- The air fryers I used to test this recipe were the Cosori TurboBlaze 6 quart and the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers vary, you may need to adjust the timing.
