Q&A:
This is totally up to you. I personally have never rinsed mine, but some do to reduce sodium.
Not long at all! Since canned green beans are already cooked, this recipe is ready in under 10 minutes.
Equipment Needed:
- Saucepan
- Stirring spoon
Ingredients (Full recipe located in recipe card below):

- Canned Green Beans - Any kind of canned green beans that you prefer (I love using Libby's from Costco or Del Monte). Be sure to drain them. Some liquid will remain, and that's okay.
- Olive Oil - Perfect for sautรฉing these green beans. I use organic extra virgin olive oil. Or you can use canola oil, vegetable oil, or butter if you prefer.
- Onion Powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic Powder
Instructions:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil and canned green beans. Stir until well coated.

- Add the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until the seasonings are well blended into the green beans.

- Continue to simmer the green beans until heated throughout and most of liquid has evaporated, about 5 minutes.

- Once done, serve immediately or add them to a slow cooker on warm for potlucks or as a holiday side dish.

What To Serve With Canned Green Beans:
- These green beans go great with practically any main dish, like air fryer fried chicken, air fryer juicy boneless pork chops and a vegetable side dish like air fryer asparagus and air fryer fingerling potatoes.
Recipe Variations And Substitutions:
- Fresh chopped onion and garlic can be used in this recipe in replacement of the onion and garlic powder if you prefer.
- Make this spicy by adding in some red pepper flakes.
- Add butter for extra flavor.
Storage And Reheating Instructions:
- Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 days.
- Reheat in the microwave for 25 seconds at a time until warm.
Pro Tips:
- Be gentle when stirring the green beans as they are already tender and over stirring will make them fall apart.
- Feel free to add more seasonings as you see fit.

What a difference 30 seconds makes! Cooks donโt always realize that non-cooks need it spelled out for them, and this recipe does just that. Thanks Ivory. Very tasty.
