Q&A:

Should I thaw frozen green beans?

For this recipe, you do not need to thaw the green beans.

Are frozen green beans precooked?

Most frozen green beans that you'll find at the grocery store are partially cooked or blanched, (briefly boiled), then frozen. Partially cooking them first before freezing them preserves the freshness of the green beans.

Equipment Needed:

  • Large Skillet

Ingredients (Printable recipe located in recipe card below):

Best easy frozen green beans recipe ingredients in various dishes on a white marble surface: frozen green beans, butter, salt, crushed red pepper, garlic powder, olive oil, and ground black pepper.
  • Olive Oil - Perfect for sautรฉing.
  • Unsalted Butter - Adds extra flavor.
  • Frozen Green Beans - I picked up a big bag of frozen green beans from Costco. I really like the thin frozen green beans, but you can use whichever kind you prefer.
  • Garlic Powder - Garlic and green beans go so well together.
  • Red Pepper Flakes - Adds a touch of heat, but not too much. My kids loved this recipe with no complaints of it being spicy. You can add more or less to taste.
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium low heat. Add the olive oil and butter, allowing the butter to melt completely.
