Easy Air Fryer Garlic Butter Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces mushrooms cleaned and sliced in half
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pinch salt
  • teaspoon ground black pepper
  • teaspoon garlic powder

Optional Topping:

  • 1 pinch fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Smash the garlic: Using a sharp knife, chop the garlic into tiny pieces. Sprinkle a pinch of salt onto the garlic. Using the back of a wooden spoon, smash the garlic until it turns into a paste. Set aside.
  • To a large bowl, add the mushrooms, melted butter, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and garlic paste. Toss the mushrooms until fully coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 385 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once the air fryer is ready, add mushrooms to the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 8 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through.
  • Remove mushrooms from air fryer, let cool, then enjoy as a side dish, appetizer, or snack! Optionally, top with fresh chopped parsley.

Notes

Storage And Reheating Instructions:
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 1-3 minutes until warm.
Pro Tips:
  • The air fryer I used was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers are different, you will need to adjust the cook time based on the air fryer you are using.
  • Preheat your air fryer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Garlic powder or store-bought garlic paste will work in this recipe if you don't have garlic cloves.
