  • Pat the chicken skin completely dry with a paper towel. Set aside.
  • To a large bowl, add the olive oil, ground mustard seed, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until well blended.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and toss until well coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once the air fryer is ready, add the chicken thighs to the air fryer skin-side down, and cook for 12 minutes.
  • After 12 minutes, open up the air fryer and flip the chicken. Return the chicken to the air fryer and cook for an additional 12 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit as measured by a food thermometer.
  • Once done, remove the chicken from the air fryer, let cool, and then enjoy!

Notes

Storage And Reheating Instructions:
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 to 5 minutes until crispy and warm throughout.
Pro Tips:
  • The air fryer used to test this recipe was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers cook differently, you may need to adjust the cook time accordingly.
  • I used medium sized chicken thighs, so if you are using larger or smaller chicken thighs, then you will need to either increase or decrease the cook time.
  • All chicken should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
