Crispy and Juicy Oven Baked Chicken Thighs (bone-in)
My oven baked chicken thighs make the best easy dinner when you need something quick, delicious, and satisfying. This recipe uses bone-in chicken for extra flavor and delivers the best crispy skin every time. It’s a no-fail dinner the whole family will love!

Mix the seasonings: To a small bowl, add the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried parsley, and smoked paprika. Stir until well blended. Set aside.
Add the chicken thighs to a 9 by 13 baking dish, then pat dry with paper towel. I used a ceramic nonstick baking dish. If not using nonstick, you may want to line the baking dish with foil or parchment paper for easier clean up.
Drizzle the chicken with olive oil, then rub or brush the olive oil all over.
Season the chicken thighs on all sides with the seasoning mixture. Be sure to press the seasoning into the chicken.
Bake skin-side-up for 45 to 50 minutes until the skin is crispy, browned, and the internal temperature has reached at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Pro Tip: Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes after baking so that the juices can redistribute throughout the chicken, making the chicken as juicy as possible.

Recipe Variations And Substitutions:
Boneless skinless chicken thighs can be used in this recipe. However, you will need to decrease the oven temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and decrease the cook time to around 30 minutes. Make sure to cook the chicken to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Change up the seasonings – Try adding ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix to make the chicken spicy (you can add more depending on your desired spice level). Or try using this delicious brown sugar rub, it’s a pork rub that also tastes amazing on chicken.
Storage And Reheating Instructions:
Store leftover chicken thighs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheating can be done in the microwave, but my preferred way is to use the air fryer at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes or until crispy and warmed throughout.

For the juiciest chicken, let the chicken rest for 10 minutes after cooking so that the juices can redistribute throughout the chicken.

Leave at least a 1-inch space between each thigh so they roast instead of steam.
