Ingredients

Instructions

  • Mix the seasonings: To a small bowl, mix the salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, and lemon pepper seasoning. Stir until well blended.
  • Using a paper towel, pat the pork chops dry on both sides and then season both sides with the seasoning mixture. Rub in the seasoning so that it sticks to the pork chops.
  • Heat a skillet over medium high heat and drizzle in the olive oil.
  • Add the pork chops to the pan and cook on the first side for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Flip the pork chops, then add the butter in an open spot in the skillet. Cook the pork chops for an additional 5 to 6 minutes, occasionally spooning the melted butter over the pork chops (the pork chops are done when they are golden brown and have reached an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit)
  • Remove the pork chops from the skillet and onto a plate. Let rest for 3 minutes, then serve with any additional butter sauce drizzled on top.

Notes

Recipe Variations And Substitutions:
  • Spicy Lemon Pepper - Add cayenne or red pepper flakes.
  • Sweet and Savory Option: For a sweet and savory option, try these honey garlic pork chops.
Storage And Reheating Instructions:
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days.
  • To reheat, place on a microwave safe plate and microwave 20 seconds at a time until warm throughout.
Pro Tips:
  • Don’t overcook the pork chops or they will become dry and tough. Pork should be cooked until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit as measured by a food thermometer.
  • After cooking, let the pork chops rest on a plate for 3 minutes for extra juiciness.
  • Check the label of your lemon pepper to see if it contains salt. If so, you may want to omit or reduce the salt used in this recipe.
