Ingredients

Instructions

  • Mix the seasonings: To a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper and Italian seasoning. Stir until well blended.
  • Pat the chicken thighs dry using a paper towel and season with the seasoning mixture.
  • Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add the olive oil.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the pan, smooth side down, and cook 5 to 6 minutes. Flip the chicken and add the butter to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 to 6 minutes until the chicken is rich in color like my photos and has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Using a spoon, scoop up the butter sauce and drizzle it over the chicken.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and rest on a plate for 3 minutes. Serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

Storage And Reheating Instructions:
Storage:
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days.
Reheating:
  • Stovetop: Reheat in a skillet over medium low until warm throughout.
  • Microwave: Microwave on a microwave safe plate for 30 seconds at a time until warm throughout.
  • Air Fryer: Reheat in an air fryer preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 4 to 5 minutes until warm throughout.
Pro Tips:
  • For extra flavor and customization, try making your own Cajun seasoning from scratch.
  • I did not add salt and pepper to this recipe because the store-bought Cajun seasonings usually have salt in them. Feel free to add salt and pepper to taste if you’d like.
  • Chicken should be cooked until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit as measured by a food thermometer.
  • Let the cooked chicken rest on a plate for 3 minutes before eating it to make it even juicer.
