Ingredients

Instructions

  • Mix the seasonings: To a small bowl, add the salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well blended.
  • Season the pork chops: Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel and season all sides with the seasoning mixture.
  • Cook the pork chops: Heat a medium skillet over medium high heat and add the olive oil. Add the pork chops and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on the first side until golden brown. Flip the pork chops, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter, then garlic. Cook the pork chops for an additional 5 to 6 minutes until done.
  • Remove pork chops from the skillet onto a plate. Drizzle the remaining garlic butter sauce over the pork chops. Let the pork chops rest for 3 minutes, then enjoy.

Storage And Reheating Instructions:
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in a skillet over low heat with a couple tablespoons of broth until warm throughout. You can also microwave for 15 seconds at a time until warm throughout.
Pro Tips:
  • Don’t overcook - Overcooked pork chops are dry and tough. Use a food thermometer if needed. Pork needs to be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • My pork chops were standard 1 inch thick. Keep in mind that thinner pork chops will take less cook time, like in my stove top thin pork chop recipe, and more time for thicker cuts.
  • Let them rest - Let the pork chops rest for at least 3 minutes after cooking so that the juices can redistribute throughout the pork chops, making them nice and juicy.
  • Pat the pork chops dry before cooking - This helps get a nice golden sear on the pork chops, which adds to a richer flavor.
