Recipe Variations And Substitutions:

  • Different Chocolate : Rolos, or mini peanut butter cups in place of Hug's work great as well!
  • Pretzels: Swap the twists for pretzel squares. Whichever you prefer.
  • Sprinkle: Use heart-shaped sprinkles or switch up the colors for different holidays and occasions.

Storage :

  • Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place.

Pro Tips:

  • Watch the Oven: This isn’t a set it and forget it recipe. The chocolate melts very quickly, so don’t walk away while they’re in the oven.
  • Even Sprinkling: Use your fingers to evenly distribute the sprinkles, otherwise most of them will end up on the pan.
  • Cooling: If you’re in a rush, place baking sheet with the pretzel hugs in the freezer for about 10 minutes to set the chocolate (let the baking sheet cool down before placing in freezer).
