    Equipment

    • Sheet pan

    • Parchment paper or aluminum foil
    • Cooling Rack (optional)

    Ingredients

    • 10 strips bacon thick cut
    • ¼ cup brown sugar light or dark
    • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 375 F
    • While the oven heats, mix the brown sugar, smoked paprika and cayenne pepper together in a small bowl and then set aside
    • Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil and place bacon strips onto the sheet pan
    • Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the bacon.
    • Using your hands, press the brown sugar into the bacon.
    • Once the oven has reached 375 F, place the bacon into oven and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crisp and brown.
    • Remove the bacon from the oven and transfer the strips of bacon onto a cooling rack.
    • Let cool for 1-2 minutes and then enjoy!

    Notes

**Ovens vary. I suggest checking for doneness after the first 15 minutes of baking and then every 2 minutes after that to make sure the bacon isn’t burning.
**Be sure to let the bacon cool for 1-2 minutes as it will also continue to crisp up during that time.
**Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
    **Reheat leftovers in microwave.

The sweet and savory combo of this recipe took a normal BLT sandwich to the moon! My favorite lunchtime indulgence is now "next-level" enough to serve to my party guests!

This bacon is so good. I wondered if it would be good dipped in egg yolk, and it was. Great combination of sweet and savory. 5 stars!
